Project for the March 11-25 lockdown period.

Work on this projectd during our forced home stay. In this case the process is as important as the final product. So You must turn in five documents upon returning to school on March 26. It is possible to create a video instead of paper poem: your call! Shape A Poem

Today we are writing a short poem to use some of the images we have learned in our Language Arts classes. Follow these steps:

PART A. Write a draft in your notebook.

1. Choose a theme for your poem. (for example: school, travel, nature, friendship, family, pet, your town, season, color, taste, or any other theme you like... )

If you don´t have any inspiration today, may be these ideas can get you started: begin your first verse by:
 If.... / there are many, there is a... /  I remember... / my favorite...




2. Your poem must be really short (20-25 words) and include the following figures:

• 1 or 2 stanzas
•  1 alliteration.

• 1 metaphor o simile
• 1 rhyme

• 2 words that are homophones.

PART B. Type in your poem using the Shape poem generator.

Now you are ready to publish your poem. You don't need to use your real name. Make a literary pseudonym if you wish. Ready...?If so, click here to generate your poem.

After your poem is ready, submit to your teacher (by clicking on the "share final button")
