a letter to the future



We are going to write a letter to yourself explaining a few things about your life today. Then you will use a website that will deliver the letter to you on the day that you choose in ten months from now. i.e.: May 2023


Your letter must explain what your life is like today. Be sure to include at least the following information

  • Describe your class. Who is in your class? who are your best friends? who are you sitting with in class and what you like about him-her. 
  • What are your favorite subjects? who are your teachers? what do you like about them?
  • Also mention what you are wearing today.
  • Finish your letter with your expectations about next summer. what do you think your plans will be after that year?
PROCESS

1. Type your letter in a word processor or copy from your notebook.

3. Make sure you mark the delivery date as  June 1, 2023

Clothes ESO3


Follow these directions to create a clothing project:

  • Work with your classmate.
  • Make a project on a shop or industry of the clothes industry.
  1. give your shop a name.
  2. say where it is. You can include maps for location.
  3. mention what type of clothes you can buy in it.
  4. Create a special AD for Valentines day.
  5. Include lots of pictures and prices of clothes


Make sure that you use all the vocabulary from Unit 4. Create your project using prezi or Google slides.When you finish share with your teacher in Google classroom.

Shape A Poem


Today we are writing a short poem to use some of the images we have learned in our Language Arts classes. Follow these steps:


PART A. Write a draft in your notebook.


1. Choose a theme for your poem. (for example: school, travel, nature, friendship, family, pet, your town, season, color, taste, or any other theme you like... )

If you don´t have any inspiration today, may be these ideas can get you started: begin your first verse by:
 If.... / there are many, there is a... /  I remember... / my favorite...




2. Your poem must be really short (20-25 words) and include the following figures:

  • 1 or 2 stanzas
  •  1 alliteration. 
  • 1 metaphor o simile
  • 1 rhyme
 What?  you can´t find any rhyme...? try this online Rhymer
  • 2 words that are homophones. 
Help yourself with this homophone finder.

 

PART B. Type in your poem using the Shape poem generator.

Now you are ready to publish your poem. You don't need to use your real name. Make a literary pseudonym if you wish. Ready...?If so, click here to generate your poem.

Design your Tech Gadget



  • Use  internet resources to theck out state of the art gadgets out there. Discuss with your partner and design your own robot or technological gadget. You must create a slide presentation in google slides (or pen drive) and eventually present to the class.

  • Your presentation must include between 6-10 words from the pink boxes on page 22, (make sure these words are highlighted in your presentation).
  • Optionally create your own craft model of your gadget / robot / or device.

Time Capsule

We are going to write a letter to ourselves in the coming future. Think of it as a time capsule that you will receive and open at the end of the school year.

Write a letter to yourself explaining a few things about your life today. Then you will use a website that will deliver the letter to you on the day that you specify; in this case May 17, 2020.

Your letter must explain what your life is like today. Be sure to include at least the following information:

  • Describe your feelings about the present school year. Describe today´s weather and mention what clothes you are wearing today.
  • Describe your class. Who is in your class? who are your best friends? Mention who you are sitting with in class and what you like about him-her. what do you know about your teachers? what do you like about them?
  • Make a few guesses (Write them in paragraph form):
